Fundraising can (and should) be fun! Here are some other ways that you can get your fundraising started:
Swim for a family member or friend who has a neurological condition
If you have a family member or friend who has a neurological condition, show your support for them by officially swimming on their behalf. Once you've registered online, advise the person who you are swimming for of your login details so they can also access your fundraising page. This will enable both of you to fundraise for the event and share the glory together! You can also upload a photo of you and the person you are swimming for onto your fundraising page.
Many companies budget for charitable donations and have matched-funding schemes to support worthwhile causes and their employees. If you need help with this, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can help you with this process and provide any necessary supporting documents that your company may need.
The MSWA Albany Swim is a fun event so fundraising should be too! Once you have registered, you can personalise your fundraising page by adding photos, posting progress reports on your training program, viewing notes from your sponsors and using the email templates provided to encourage donations from your friends and colleagues. There are even links to Facebook so that you can connect with your friends and ask for their support.
Every dollar counts!
Some of your friends or family may not have access to the internet, but don’t let that stop you from asking for their support. Download the Sponsoship Tally Form and keep track of all of your supporters. Then upload the information onto your web page as an offline donation. They’ll still receive the acknowledgement and the thanks that they deserve!
